A 15-year-old boy has been apprehended by Amraiwadi police for allegedly raping a 5-year-old girl at his neighbour’s terrace. The incident took place on Monday night.The girl and the boy were sent for medical examination on Tuesday .
According to police, parents of Niti (name changed), a resident of Ganeshnagar, had approached police on Tuesday after Niti told her mother about the rape.
O M Desai, inspector of Amraiwadi police station, said that the incident took place when the victim was sleeping on her terrace on Monday night as other members of the family were not there. “The boy saw her and after putting hand on her mouth, raped her. He threatened her of dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident,“ he said. But the girl was crying incessantly which made the mot her suspicious.
