CHANDIGARH: According to Haryana education minister Ram Bilas Sharma, there is nothing wrong with the saffronisation of education.
“The first ray of the sun is saffron. The top band of the Tricolour is saffron. Now even the cure for dengue is saffron… there is nothing wrong with saffronisation,” said Sharma, when asked about the introduction of RSS ideologue Dinanath Batra’s books. Sharma recently recommended introducing Batra’s books in school curriculum.
“Shri Dinanath Batra has been an adviser in education policy. I have a personal relation with him. He is an authority on education. He has also been associated with Vidya Bharti, RSS’s education wing,” Sharma said.
The minister also spoke about introducing Gita in school curriculum — he also said that students should be taught about Ram, Rahim and Krishna.
