New Delhi:Hindu Sena, the outfit that claimed responsibility for the ink attack on Jammu and Kashmir MLA Sheikh Abdul Rasheed on Monday , came into existence in 2011. Its national president, Vishnu Gupta dabbles in property and operates from Sarita Vihar in New Delhi.
Gupta told ET that he has been associated with Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh, the BJP’s ideological mentor, since the beginning and was also vice-president of the Shiv Sena from 2005 to 2011 before he floated the Hindu Sena.
“We like Shiv Sena style of working and support them. MLA Rasheed hosted a beef party in a hostel and we decided to teach him a lesson,“ a nonchalant Gupta claimed.
However, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Manmohan Vaidya said that that Hindu Sena had nothing to do with the Sangh.“The RSS does not encompass all these organisations. We have our own structure and an official arrangement to express our views.“
