CJP has helped secure the release of two brothers from Assam’s detention camp. Samsul Ali and Abdur Rashid had been in the Goalpara detention camp for three years. In July 2019, the Supreme Court ruled that people who are in detention camps for three years or more would be freed on bail. But their path to freedom remains torturous, often requiring legal and social intervention. This is where CJP steps in.
