Urgent plea: 10,000 masks needed for the Assam Community and CJP Team For those in Assam who are battling the citizenship crisis amid coronavirus
26, Mar 2020 | CJP Team
CJP Assam team has been working day and night, helping people whose names have been excluded from the final NRC, with applications and documents. Even as all NRC related processes were put on hold by the Assam government in wake of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, our team has soldiered on wearing masks and gloves. Given the large numbers of people facing the citizenship crisis, who have virtually no access to a medical safety-net or infection prevention methods, and the amount of travelling our CJP team volunteers and volunteers have to do, we are running short of masks and protective gears. We therefore, urge you to donate generously so that we can provide our team and the people they help equip themselves adequately to battle the scourge of the coronavirus and continue unhindered with our work on the citizenship rights.
To donate you can Paytm to Citizens for Justice and Peace on +9175066 61171 or visit https://cjp.org.in/donate
