The Women of Mumbai Baug Peacefully protest the CAA, NPR-NRC
08, Feb 2020 | CJP Team
From Jan 26th, hundreds of women, began an indefinite sit -in to protest against the NPR-NRC-CAA at Nagpada, near Mumbai Central. Drawing inspiration from the protesters at Shaheen Bagh, the women have come out of their homes to express their identity as a community. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and the women feel that the future of their children in the country is at stake, with the passage of the CAA 2019. The women are determined to continue their protest until the government repeals the CAA 2019 and says no to NPR-NRC.
