Protesters Damage Buses, Block Roads in Vadodara
A city bus was damaged and tyres were burnt to stage a roadblock in the Manjalpur area of the city after a small temple was razed there by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC). The civic body had decided to raze the structure as it was in the road line.
Teams of the VMC decided to remove the structure at Alva Naka after they came to know that it had been expanded recently. VMC officials said that a small tem ple-like structure did exist at the place, but it was expanded recently and a platform was made around it. Officials claimed that there was no idol inside it and only pictures were kept there.
