NRC-excluded Assam man flees home CJP has reached out immediately

20, Nov 2020 | CJP Team

The citizenship crisis has already claimed 107 lives in Assam. As impoverished and marginalised people face new struggles everyday, they end up taking extreme steps. Upon being devastated at the exclusion from the final NRC, Zabbar Ali fled home fearing the prospect of life behind bars in a Detention Camp while his wife and four children remain in the dark about his whereabouts or their future.
CJP team reached their house after a lot of difficulty as the roads and the adjoining bridges are damaged in those areas. Our brave Volunteer motivators have been ignoring every difficulty that comes on their way while they reach out to thousands of families, aggrieved by the citizenship crisis, to not only provide legal aid but also humanitarian support.
Help us help Assam.
