Muslim Students of Rashtriya Shiksha Sadan Inter College at Jhinjhana town of Shamli district refused to affix the college logo on their uniform as it has a picture of goddess of learning, Saraswati. Interestingly, the logo has been used by the school since 1948 when the school was founded and had never been opposed by any student or parents earlier.
On Tuesday , when some Muslim students arrived at the school without the logo on their uniforms. On being questioned by school authorities, students replied that Islam does not allow them to wear a shirt with such a logo on it. The authorities prevented them from entering the premises.
After a while, the students arrived at the school with municipality chairman Sarfaraz Ahmad, who asked the authorities why Muslim students were being pressurized to put the logo on their shirts.
