Rohini Salian, who has quit as Special Public Prosecutor in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case, has alleged that in two incidents the Central Government prosecutors prevented a Maharashtra counsel from arguing the case.
Speaking to NDTV, she alleged that in January this year, Central Government Prosecutor Anil Singh prevented Maharashtra’s senior counsel Mariar Puttam from arguing against the dropping of MCOCA charge on a few accused.
In another incident, Union Additional Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had prevented Puttam from arguing for NIA.
Rohini Salian said the Central Government Prosecutors were not even familiar with the case.
Earlier, Rohini had alleged that she was asked to go soft against the accused Hindu extremists in the case.
