Three Dalit brothers were allegedly thrashed by a mob on Monday after they objected to derogatory remarks against Dr Ambedkar in Virar’s M B Estate area.

Following a complaint by three brothers belonging to the Dalit community that they were “brutally” assaulted in Virar for objecting to derogatory remarks against Dr B R Ambedkar, Palghar police on Monday arrested two persons.
Three Dalit brothers were allegedly thrashed by a mob on Monday after they objected to derogatory remarks against Dr Ambedkar in Virar’s M B Estate area.
“We acted on information received by us. Our probe revealed that two persons played a key role and have been arrested,” said a Palghar police spokesperson. According to the police, Sagar Ingle (25), Jeet Ingle (30) and Chetan Ingle (22), sons of RPI corporator Pandurang Ingle in Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation, were beaten up with sticks and iron rods.
