Social Media & Contemporary Journalism How to Spot and Stop Fake News

28, Feb 2018 | CJP Team

On February 27, 2018 when CJP Secretary, Teesta Setalvad arrived at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth to conduct a workshop on how Fake News is spread and what can be done to stop it, her scheduled program was derailed by members of ABVP with tacit support from the police. While Masscommunication Students of the University bravely stood by Setalvad, the workshop had to be conducted at a different venue. CJP has now decided to make our workshop materials public, so that the common man can see how people are trapped in a web of deceit and well planned campaigns of spreading misinformation.
