Documentary on 2013 riots will not be shown in Khar; reason cited varies between cop trouble, technicality
The Mumbai screening of a docu mentary on the Muzaffarnagar riots of 2013, which recently ran into trouble in two education institutions in New Delhi, has been can celled. Muzaffarnagar Baaqi Hai… was to be screened in The Hive at Khar on Tuesday, but has been cancelled after the police called the organisers to verify if they have the necessary censor » clearance.
When Mirror spoke to Hive’s curator Rohan Sabharwal on Sunday evening, he confirmed that the event was taken off their Facebook page because the police were creating a problem. Later in the night, Sharon Bhatti, wife of The Hive’s co-founder, said the cancellation was due to a technical glitch and that it had nothing to do with the police.
