The Viramgam woman seeks protection against higher caste people

Ahmedabaad: A dalit woman of Viramgam town has written to Chief Minister Anandiben Patel to protect her family and her from the high caste people, a majority of them belong to Patel community. The complainant has accused the higher caste people in her neighbourhood of harassment and atrocity.
On July 19, a mob comprising several Patel community members, attacked our family and torn the clothes of one of our women. The police registered a complaint against only five persons, though the attack was made by a huge crowd, the letter alleged.
