Tension in area after some animal skins recovered early on Thursday
Tension gripped northeast Delhi’s Wazirabad area on Friday morning after two communities reportedly clashed following recovery of some animal skins early on Thursday.
The police said that at least two motorcycles were damaged in the clash. There are no reports of anyone receiving any injury in the incident so far. Heavy police deployment was witnessed across Khajoori Khas area since Friday morning.
The police said that at about 2.30 am on Friday a truck bearing Haryana registration number, allegedly carrying skins of some domestic animals, was intercepted by the local police on a tip-off given reportedly by an ultra-right-wing group.
