Phagwara: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) activists on Tuesday staged dharna infront of Phagwara Superintendent of Police’s office demanding immediate arrest of accused who had allegedly vandalised two statues of BR Ambedkar here in the last two and half months.
Led by BSP leader Jarnail Nangal, the protesters took out a protest march from Dr B R Ambedkar Park in Hargobindnagar and reached SP’s office following which they sat on a dharna for over an hour.
Addressing the protestors, Nangal attributed vandalisation of Ambedkar’s statues to the “hidden agenda” of central BJP government.
