Mumbai:Govt Told To Pull Up Its Socks For Navratri, Diwali
The Bombay high court on Monday rapped the state government and the municipal corporation for failing o crack down on noisy celebrations and illegal pandals during the recently concluded Ganeshotsav .
A division bench of Justice Abhay Oka and Justice Vi ay Achliya directed the authorities to keep a “strict vigil“ during the festival months of October and November. Nav ratri celebrations begin on Tuesday , followed by Diwali next month. The state was asked to submit data on action taken against noise offenders and those who put up illegal pandals on roads during Nav ratri and Diwali.
