Following a meeting held in Dhaka, Bangladesh and Myanmar have established a joint working group to begin the repatriation of the Rohingya refugees that have taken shelter in Bangladesh, the Dhaka Tribune reported. The group will be comprised of 15 members from each country. Previously, Bangladesh had informed the United Nations that a joint working group would be created soon, under the terms of the bilateral agreement for the Rohingya’s repatriation that the two countries signed on November 23. The United Nations’ migration agency said on Sunday that an estimated 655,000 Rohingya have come into Bangladesh since August 25, increasing the total number of Rohingya in Cox’s Bazar to 867,000.
