Muzaffarnagar district was once again gripped by communal tension after the murder of 25-year-old Satveer, who was sitting outside his house near a mosque in Bhuma village when he was attacked by four gun-wielding assailants.
Since the area is communally sensitive and large crowds gather during Ramzan at the spot as the mosque is nearby ,a team of three policemen was present at the spot when the murder took place late on Monday . But the attackers managed to flee from under the noses of the cops. A jittery local administration has rushed two companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and a large contingent of policemen drawn from three nearby police stations to keep peace in Bhuma.
