Defend Citizenship of Indians in Assam

WHY DONATE?

In Assam, being declared a foreigner or excluded from the list of citizens arbitrarily, has meant a civil death for millions of people, with repercussions often engulfing entire families. Since 2017, CJP’s Team Assam has worked in faraway villages and districts to provide real paralegal and legal aid as well as psychological assistance. Our district-level, legal team works on 25 Foreigner Tribunal cases month on month. This ground level data ensures informed interventions by CJP in our Constitutional Courts, the Guwahati High Court and the Supreme Court.

OUR IMPACT WITH YOUR SUPPORT

Helped fill over 12 lakh NRC forms

Over 50 persons released from Detention camps

Legal interventions in the courts

Paralegal assistance to almost 100 families each month

COMING TOGETHER FOR A CAUSE

Help us reach out to the people of Assam who are negotiating a labyrinth of citizenship related issues.

All Donations to CJP are 50% Tax Exempt under section 80G of IT Act, 1961.
