WHY DONATE?
In Assam, being declared a foreigner or excluded from the list of citizens arbitrarily, has meant a civil death for millions of people, with repercussions often engulfing entire families. Since 2017, CJP’s Team Assam has worked in faraway villages and districts to provide real paralegal and legal aid as well as psychological assistance. Our district-level, legal team works on 25 Foreigner Tribunal cases month on month. This ground level data ensures informed interventions by CJP in our Constitutional Courts, the Guwahati High Court and the Supreme Court.
