Beef traders allege harassment by right-wing groups, go on strike

Alleging harassment at the hands of activists of various right-wing groups, particularly since the BJP-led government came to power, beef traders here and in the entire western Maharashtra went on an indefinite strike from Thursday .
“Our business is completely legal but on the grounds of sentiments and animal cruelty , activists of various right-wing outfits harass us. They seize cattle being brought to the city and send them off to Goshalas.
