After a prolonged legal battle, CJP has helped secure the release of Lalit Thakur from the Goalpara detention camp. He had been jailed in the detention camp for almost four years. Earlier efforts to bail him out failed, as bailors holding necessary documents couldn’t be found. CJP will continue helping Indians languishing in detention camps.
