FIVE students from Jammu and Kashmir have alleged that they were beaten up by three men when they had come to write an exam in Haryana last week.
All the five students had completed their degree course from Swami Devi Dayal College of Engineering and Technology, Barwala, last year and had come here to write a backlog paper. Police said they haven’t registered any case as they did not receive any complaint.
The students said after they were allegedly beaten up at Shahzadpur on January 7, they missed the exam. “The three men were drunk and thrashed us for no reason,”Amir Jameel, one of the victims, told The Sunday Express over the phone from Bijbehra town in south Kashmir.
Amir said he sustained serious head injuries in the incident. “I didn’t appear in the exam as I was too scared,” he said, adding that that one of the accused was their neighbour.
