Ranchhod Bharwad demanded that Muslims be barred from playing garba. “We have cautioned organisers against entry of Muslims in events. If any Muslim wants to take part in Garba, he has to convert to Hinduism. We promise to help him with all legal formalities.” The VHP also opposed the banning of loudspeakers after midnight.
