Rona Wilson is the public relations secretary for Committee for Release of Political Prisoners. He was at the forefront of the struggle to release SAR Geelani in the 2001 Parliament attack case. A voracious reader, he continues to prepare for his PhD from jail where he has been lodged for over 2 years now.

The Special NIA Court in Mumbai rejected Wilson’s default bail application.

May 4, 2022

The review petition moved by Rona Wilson against December 2021 order of the HC declining him default bail was rejected by the Bombay High Court.

December 1, 2021

The Bombay High Court denied default bail to Rona Wilson citing delay in filing the bail application after expiry of 90 days period given to police to file the chargesheet.

September 7, 2021

On September 7, 2002, Special NIA Court granted two weeks bail to Wilson to attend his father’s funeral rites.

September 1, 2021

Wilson moves Bombay HC for temporary bail for two weeks to attend his father’s ceremonial mass which is scheduled for September 16, 2021.
