An executive at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Plc has accused the country executive of the UK-headquartered bank’s offshore unit of sexual harassment in an FIR filed with the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) police station.
In the police report, the complainant claimed that the accused sent her videos with sexual content, jokes with inappropriate content and messages at inappropriate hours.
Joint commissioner of police (law & order) Deven Bharti confirmed that the BKC police had on Friday registered a case of sexual harassment under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act against the accused. Investigations are on, Bharti said.
The 40-year-old victim told the police that she used to travel to the BKC office twice every week and report to the accused.
According to her statement, the accused called her for dinner at MCA Club in January 2015. Later, he allegedly sent her an obscene vi deo on WhatsApp. The victim asked him not to send her such messages, but he allegedly sent her another obscene video in February 2015. The victim then told him that she would complain to her seniors. In April, he again sent her an obscene text.
