MUZAFFARNAGAR: One person was killed and three seriously injured in a clash between two communities on Thursday in this district of Uttar Pradesh. A dispute over the construction of a small conduit on the road in Tigari village triggered the flare-up.
Police had to face strong resistance of villagers when they tried to seize the body and send it for postmortem. According to sources, a person from one community in Tigari village has a house where a ramp has been constructed from the street to his home. Since the construction of roadside drains in the village is underway, the man insisted the contractor construct the drain in such a way that the ramp of his house was not damaged. A man from another community, who lives on the opposite side, said the drain must be constructed in without sparing anyone’s ramp.
