The Dharavi police on Tuesday filed a case against an unidentified man for kidnapping and raping a three-year-old girl. No arrests into the case have been made yet.
The minor was a resident of Shivaji Nagar, Govandi, where she lived with her family. Her family found her missing from home at 10pm on Monday and an FIR was registered on Tuesday at Shivaji Nagar police station.
The girl was then found lying unconscious on the road, with blood on her clothes, near the T-junction in Dharavi. A labourer who spotted her informed the police, following which she was taken for a medical examination that confirmed that she had been raped. The Dharavi police later ascertained that the victim was the same girl who had gone missing from Shivaji Nagar.
