In Vadodara’s walled city, which is starkly divided on communal lines, a single-storey structure was home to five Hindu and Muslim families on Baliyadev Chowk in Fatehpura — the epicentre of most communal clashes witnessed the area. On Sunday night, as mobs clashed following an attack on Sarveshwar Mahadev temple, miscreants set afire this structure that stands for deep kinship, nurtured for over six decades, rendering the five families homeless.
