AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi courted controversy Monday as he told a gathering in Hyderabad to vote for his party if they wanted to continue eating beef. Campaigning for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, the MP from Hyderabad said: “I am telling all the minority community members here, if MIM loses in the elections, you can forget about eating beef in Hyderabad.”
“They have banned beef in Maharashtra which has affected the food habits of Muslims and Dalits,’’ claimed Owaisi.
