Production house reportedly failed to secure Archaeological Survey of India’s green signal to shoot at Sarkhej Roza at night; shooting likely to resume today
Shooting for the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees hit a rough patch on Saturday after authorities from the Archaeological Sur vey of India stopped shooting for the movie at Sarkhej Roza. As per ASI authorities, the production team had failed to procure permission to shoot at the protected monument at night. However, shooting for the movie is likely to resume at the heritage sight today after the production house secures required permits.
Confirming this, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 7) Vidhi Chaudhary said, “The production house wanted to continue shooting at Sarkhej Roza on Saturday night. As per rules, there can be no shooting at any monument under the protection of the ASI at night unless they have permission. Resultantly, shooting for the movie was stopped on Saturday but since the production house was working on getting the permits, shooting is likely to resume on Sunday.“
