The designated court of Jyotsnaben Yagnik, hearing the Naroda Patia
case, would pronounce her order on the plea of massacre witness and
survivors for further investigation in the case, on March 4.
On
Friday, Mukul Sinha, the counsel for witness Salim Mohammed Hussain
Shaikh and Jan Sangarsh Manch member Amrish Patel who had filed the
application under section 178(8) of CrPC for investigation in the
case, argued that the application has been submitted for further
investigation into the larger conspiracy under section 120(B) of the
Indian Penal Code.
The SIT
and police had arrested only those persons who had been present at the
spot during the incident or who had been named by the witness and
survivors of the case.
There were still a large number of people, alleged to be behind the
conspiracy of massacre, who remained to be arrested.
Sinha
also argued that the investigating officer of Naroda Patia case had
not made proper analysis of the phone call records.
