intimation of a Press Conference from Prominent Citizens and PUCL,
Gujarat with a request to send it out to friends in the media.
The matter is of
grave miscarriage of public justice hence we request you to give due
importance to the same. An anguished appeal to the Chief Justice
signed by Prominent Gujarati Citizens is also attached

Reliable sources
(as reported in the media) say that despite voluminous evidence, the
Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed by the Supreme Court of
India, to investigate the Gujarat Carnage of 2002 is planning to
file a closure report. This is a matter of anguish by several from
civil society.
In view of this,
many eminent citizens of Gujarat recently met, not only to voice
their concerns, but also to plan out a future course of action. It
was also decided to write a letter to the Chief Justice of the
Supreme Court of India immediately to express their serious concerns
on the matter.
In view of this, a
Media Conference will be held today and will be addressed, among
others by well-known Gandhian Chunibhai Vaidya and the Director of
AWAG, Ilaben Pathak.
