Watch: Impoverished residents of Dhubri, Bongaigaon, Chirang and South Salmara-Mankachar are suddenly flooded with ‘foreigners notices’. Most of those affected are women, almost all of them long term residents with voter I cards and other documents. Even as they prepare to defend their citizenship in Assam’s notorious foreigners tribunals with CJP’s help, they cannot help but wonder at the injustice of it all.
