A senior Indian Information Service (IIS) officer working with All India Radio, Cuttack, faces arrest over allegations of sending lewd messages to a married woman on her phone.
In her complaint at Bhubaneswar’s Airfield police station, the woman accused Prakash Dash of harassing her for nearly two years through SMSes and MMSes. The woman, who has kids, has been the officer’s neighbour for 10 years.
“Though he initially behaved like a gentleman, for the last four to five years he has been forcing me to keep a relationship with him. He threatened to expose me if I did not maintain a relationship with him. Since the last few days, he would call me from his phone, and would come to our house in my husband’s absence if I didn’t take his calls,” she said. Dash also allegedly threatened the woman’s husband with dire consequences.
