Top clubs in city unanimously take stand to allow people of all faiths to enjoy the garba on their premises
With the spectre of religious intolerance looming over the nine nights of garba, clubs across the city have unanimously taken a stand to prevent fringe elements from disrupting the festival. The clubs believe that if festivals of different religions are not enjoyed together, how can it become a celebration?
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s efforts to polarise garba have failed to break the spirit of Amdavad, and Navratri celebrations are not what the right wing group had envisaged.
