Teesta Setalvad, a human rights activist who filed a complain against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the violence in Gujarat, has been arrested. The Gujarat ATS arrested the human rights activist and journalist from Mumbai. Teesta Setalvad alleged that the ATS attacked her.
The 2002 Gujrat riot is being investigated. The Supreme Court recently dismissed Zakia Jafri’s plea in the case. The SIT has upheld the clean chit issued against 64 people, including Narendra Modi. The court even said that those who abused the process should be held accountable in court.
The Gujarat ATS arrested Teesta Setalvad from Mumbai, a human rights activist and journalist who filed a case against the Prime Minister. Srikumar was arrested after appearing before the Crime Branch. In addition, Teesta setalvad was arrested by Gujarat ATS from her residence in Juhu area of Mumbai.
He was handed over to the Ahmedabad Crime Branch at 6 am (Teesta Setalvad was brought to Gujarat). Then, they have been tested for COVID-19. Besides, former IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt will also be brought to Ahmedabad on a transfer warrant.
