New Delhi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Modi government appeared to have reconciled to a cozy “agree to disagree” relationship.
As part of the coordination mechansim between government and the BJP’s ideological mentor, senior ministers will be attending a three-day meeting of the RSS and its affiliates here from September 2.
The RSS brass will be present at the “Samanvya Baithak” in which Sangh affiliates are expected to place their organisational expansion plans and common challenges. While various wings of the Sangh, including the Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh have conveyed their concerns on various economic and labour policy matters to the government, there was an acknowledgement that neither of them could radically change their stands, sources said.
