Gram panchayat sanitation workers staged a protest here on Thursday demanding hike in their salary and other benefits.
They said that though their strike entered 30th day on Thursday, the government is still silent on their demands and is not coming forward to hold talks on the demands which include provision of PF, ESI, health and life insurance. Leaders of Telangana Gram Panchayat Employees and Workers Union – Kishan, Lakshmipathi and others – were present.
