A day after reports quoting intelligence sources claimed that Pakistan-based terror groups had planned fidayeen attacks during the annual Amarnath Yatra, BJP firebrand leader Sadhvi Prachi warned that if Hindu pilgrims were harmed, Haj pilgrims would face harsh consequences.
“Why are Hindu devotees always under threat during pilgrimages, be it in Amarnath, Vaishno Devi or Puri’s Jagannath Temple? If such attacks happen, I tell you, the Haj yatris will face consequences,” Prachi told The Indian Express over telephone.
When asked if she was referring to Haj pilgrims in India, Sadhvi said: “No, I meant those in Jeddah. Time will tell what kind of consequences they are going to face. We will give a befitting reply.” Prachi was earlier pulled up by the BJP leadership for her controversial remarks.
