Public Prosecutor Rohini Salian says `Hindu’ officers were pulling strings even when UPA was in power
It wasn’t just the NDA government that wanted National Investigation Agency’s special public prosecutor, Rohini Salian, to go soft in the Malegaon blasts case. She told Mirror on Thursday that certain `higher up’ Hindu officers in NIA during the UPA’s tenure seem to have blocked the discharge of Muslim accused in the Malegaon blast case of September 2006.
“The agency was already infiltrated by then, it seems,“ she said. She was referring to the period between April and May 2013 when the NIA was about to file a charge sheet in the case.
