Juhapura relief houses no more liveable: 2002 Godhra riot victims

Muslim families, which were provided relief houses by Islamic Relief Committee after the riots, complain that their homes are falling apart
As many as 25 Muslim families which were rendered homeless in the 2002 Godhra riots that had ended up claiming the lives of 790 people from their community, were rehabilitated by Islamic Relief Committee (IRC) in 2003. What these families were provided by the committee for a fresh start were merely 35 one room kitchen houses in a building called Asin Park in Juhapura after a lot of funds were collected for its construction. The fundraising programme did not even spare those who were to be allotted the houses as each family was made to contribute Rs 5,000 to the donations.
