Guj has at least 2.7 L malnourished kids

They were found malnourished on the basis of their weight to age ratio in 18 districts

Gandhinagar: The state government likes to blow its trumpet on development front as well as on social indicators. However, when it comes to children’s health, the situation is grim. The government has revealed that there are as many as 2.7 lakh malnourished children in 18 districts of the state.
A total of 2,66,190 children were found malnourished on the basis of their weight to age ratio by the Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) programme of the state government. The ICDS covers children in the age group of 0 to 6 years.
