The two accused Chandrakant Patil, Sachin Patil have been arrested
An elderly Dalit man was recently killed in Borgaon village in Maharashtra’s Sangli district by two dominant caste youths allegedly for rising up in life.
The incident took place on July 15. Vaman Nyaynirgune (62) was working in his field when two youths from the Maratha caste taunted him for bettering his situation. They asked him why he did not greet them and then hit, killing him on the spot, the Tasgaon police station told The Hindu .
