New Delhi: The word ‘Beef’ is something the present government does not seem to be comfortable with and hence, it has changed the name of a village called ‘Beef’ in Uttarkashi district of Uttarkhand and changed it to ‘Narayanpuri’.
The go-ahead was given by the Union home ministry under Rajnath Singh which consulted the concerned departments like the Survey of India, ministry of railways, communication and IT and the postal departments.
