Between December 2013 and December 2014, about 7,000 Christians faced threats, violence and displacement
December 2013: Govind Kuram Korram,11, whose father converted to Christianity, died of starvation in Chhattisgarh after being locked up in a room by his uncle who was a Hindutva activist June 2014: Nimakka Laxmaya, 50, a recent convert, was killed on his way back from a prayer meeting in Vanidi village in Odisha January 2014: Reverend Sanjeevulu, a pastor, was stabbed to death and his wife grievously injured when activists of a local Hindutva group attacked the church in Vikarabad, 64 km from Hyderabad June 2014: A newly converted Tibetan couple was hacked to death in Kalimpong, West Bengal. Attackers also gouged out the eyes of the couple’s 12 year old daughter.
