Visually-impaired Muslim woman appeals to Kejriwal after being denied accommodation
A visually-impaired Muslim woman from Kerala, who is an assistant professor in a college affiliated to Delhi University, has alleged that she was denied a rented house in Delhi for being a Muslim.
In a short video addressed to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Reem Shamsudeen said the incident was shocking considering the cosmopolitan and metropolitan nature of Delhi.
Urging the chief minister to look into the matter, Shamsudeen, an assistant professor of English, said she hoped no one would have to encounter this kind of shameful and inhumane experience even in future.
