Duo Smothered Man, Said It Was Heart Attack: Cops
A 37-year-old wife, who conspired with her young lover and killed her husband, a manager with an electronics retailer, was arrested by the Kapurbawdi police on Monday after the couple’s 19-year-old daughter exposed the crime and illicit relationship.
Sandhya Kende and her 23-year-old paramour, Amir Khan, a carpenter from Madanpura in South Mumbai, planned the killing of her husband Yogesh, 47, to make it appear a death due to a heart attack.
“The medical report suggests that the cause of death was cardiorespiratory arrest and there were no marks on the body to arouse suspicion. But crime never pays and the guilty will always be caught. The two lovers’ cold-blo oded plans were exposed by the college-going daughter, a witness to the crime, but she was threatened into silence by her mother and her lover,” a police investigator said.
He claimed that it was a premeditated plot by the victim’s wife to eliminate Kende so that she could lead a good life with Khan, spending her husband’s money.
