Tension prevailed in the Mahoba district of Bundelkhand region, Uttar Pradesh after some miscreants attacked Hindu Yuva Vahini district president on Thursday night. Hindu Yuva Vahini is a group formed by BJP MP Yogi Adityanath.
Reports said that Vahini’s district president Ashish Tripathi was attacked by some people with lathis when he was going on his motorcycle in the sensitive Haveli Darwaja locality on Thursday night. Tripathi was immediately rushed to Jhansi Medical college hospital in critical condition. Apprehending tension, additional police forces have been deployed in the city to avert any untoward incident. Senior police officers who were camping in the area claimed that efforts were also on to nab the culprits involved in the crime.
