The post-mortem report of the two gangraped Badaun cousins has shown that they were hanged while they were still alive, the police said here on Wednesday .
The barbaric nature of the sexual assault could be gauged from the fact that apart from innumerable abrasions, scratches and contusions on the arms, waist and upper abdominal area, the vital organs of the victims were virtually covered in blood clots.
Injuries inside and around the victims’ vital organs confirmed they had been tortured before the accused tied ropes round their necks and hung them, the report says.
